If you were wondering if you’d like a cozy fall sapphic story inspired by DnD and RPGs where magic is tied to godesses & gods and a talking tree shows up & the MCs flirt immediately but one of them has lost her magic…then now’s a good try to try out the 1st book of the Tales of Trelvania! only 1.99

At the request of my sister, I turned my tea cup with flowers sticking out of it watercolor painting into a sticker. It was originally a card for her. I think it’s super cute. I might make more designs.

Do the arts appear often within the works you write? Which ones?

Always. In Tea Tale alone I have poetry/poets, musicians including my MC’s accordion, there’s a shop of created things like paintings and wooden figures and sculptures, a tattoo artist, there’s mention of a theatre…

I always draw inspiration from my favorite RPGs for the Tales of Trelvania books. Today I watched some nostalgic clips from early 2000s games with oceans, beaches, boats etc. Chrono Cross and FF8 mostly. I swear the beach is the same in both openings.

#WordWeavers Aug 9: What's the smallest detail you've researched for a story?

How glass is made to withstand boiling water and if medieval societies would have had the ability to craft glass tea mugs to not break with brewing hot tea.

My four year old likes to argue in flora

Me: Look at that corn out your window!
Him: it’s just weeds
Me: Look at that [random thing ex. train engine]
Him: it’s just plants

Heading to a beach this weekend. Hoping to get some inspiration for the third installment of Tales of Trelvania. Hint: there will be beaches. I’ve been struggling to write but I know I will find my groove soon. Also taking Nine Goblins by T Kingfisher to get me in the low stakes mindset.

Can I interested you in a story about a tavern turned into a tea shop during the winter festival? Tea Tale is book two of my sapphic fantasy romance. Both on KU!

Sometimes I get great ideas in the shower. This morning I had probably ten new ideas for my story that brought me joy. Which is exactly what I needed to break through this writer’s block. Say hello to my new creature, a giant manatee that transports people along the shore

What sense is the most difficult for you to write?

I often have to go back and add senses I forgot to use the first pass. Taste and touch. Smells, sights, and sounds come very naturally to me. I don’t always have my character eating or touching things or forget that they could be doing that.
