Today is Veteran Suicide Prevention and Awareness Day in Minnesota. On Wednesday, 9/30, I attended the Minnesota Veteran Suicide Prevention Summit, where leaders, advocates, and service providers discussed pathways of care and how we can better support veterans and their families.

I have driven by Iron Exchange in Maple Plain so many times and decided to take my dinner break there today in between door knocking. It’s a local restaurant and brewery. This is a gluten free Margherita pizza with chicken!

I am at my last event of the day, Rockin’ the Grove at Central Park. It’s an annual concert put on by the Maple Grove Lions featuring Hairball. I was so touched when Antonina and her seventh grader Altai stopped me to talk and take a picture.
