What is it about prominent Ohio athletes and gambling?
From @theathletic.com: LeBron James will make nearly four times as much promoting the Polymarket prediction market as he will from playing basketball. The deal may not break NBA rules, but it raises uncomfortable questions.

“Democracy has been hailed as, like, the holy grail for the last couple hundred years, but democracies are inefficient,” said the crypto billionaire. “If you get a benevolent dictator, it’s actually extremely efficient."

Actually, Americans are just like you. ~20-30% of them genuinely support fascism, as in ~every 🇪🇺 country. You are just more fortunate to have political institutions & a multiparty system that prevent that 20-30% from fully capturing the center-right party, becoming 51%, & controlling the government.

Brazilians today are simultaneously voting a president, 27 state governors, 54 of the country's 81 senators, all 513 federal deputies.

12 bolsonaristas of 28 states total were already elected ☠️

Far right doing better than any party in decades

He threw himself in front of truck. The trucker, who voted for Trump, is haunted.
