the epidemic of people conflating the quality of art and the artist's moral character is getting out of hand. I have seen multiple people in the past few days saying that 7 Years by Lukas Graham is a beautiful song.

nayuta no kanata made is really funny because it has 3 vocalists but I don't think pd1 supports more than one module in a stage because the second verse is Rin singing but it's still just Len dancing on stage. let rin have a turn asshole!!!!!!!!!

early rin songs seemed really interested in her name sounding like ring. if suzune ring ever came out we probably would have gotten a bit of a resurgence of some of those songs.

why they put nisoku hokou on the dear cocoa girls stage LMAO

oh and also no difficulty settings or chance time. because edit mode.

the songs seem pretty calibrated to the base songs' hard difficulties so I guess that's probably the intended difficulty
6. choose song map

7. choose song audio

8. play song (no lyrics displayed because it is edit mode)

I guess it was partially meant to be a showcase of edit mode maybe? not what I expect from official dlc. i love it.

now that i'm actually looking into the dlc for project diva 1 I'm quite charmed at how scuffed it is. psp dlc was always scuffed it seems (the only psp games I owned were from japan so I never got dlc cuz no jp psn store) but idk if it was always at this level

there was much said about the toning down of mental illness-related language in the english translation of the ttyd remake a couple of years back. my personal theory is that the original translation was done by americans and they were scared of another mario party 8 incident.

someone should do a mashup of miku miku ni shite ageru and miki miki romantic night i feel like that would work well

played some pd1 songs in mega mix. miracle paint and fukigen waltz are almost identical in both pv and map (this is because they were already perfect)

sakura no ame is the most different. different version of the song and everything. one of the only modules that was kept tho.

mikumiku bacteria and yumemiru kotori were by the same artist????? holy range

i should get my hands on project diva x. never played that one. i know some people don't like how it's structured but it probably has the best tracklist in the series imo. do not know where my vita is tho and i don't have a ps4 so actually playing it would be another thing

it's weird to me that the unlock criteria for the sakine meiko module has you use the regular meiko module while playing anata no utahime given that that song has an entirely pre-rendered PV. i would've gone for koi suru vocaloid since meiko's mentioned in the full version lyrics.

update: I have gotten at least a great on every song on normal difficulty
replaying original project diva. i didn't remember it being this easy but maybe my memory was clouded by replaying Marginal over and over again (which for the record I still can't get great on normal difficulty 15 years later...)

do other countries have any equivalent to a working with children check? I've only ever heard of that kind of system from Australians
August 23, 2026 at 3:10 AM
weird part of the danron localisation is that hagakure says he's 21 when in jp he says he's 20. it's definitely because 21 is the drinking age in the us but the game still takes place in japan and 20 is above the legal drinking age in most english-speaking countries anyway so ???
August 22, 2026 at 3:36 AM
I don't think this is the case (could be wrong?) but it'd be cute if the unlock condition for the Haku module in one of the diva games was dropping out of a stage a certain number of times. our girlfailure <3

has anyone ever played the miku flick games? 02 straight up taught me how to type in JP using flick input. thank you miku 🙏🙏🙏

I hope that the diva series continues... it seems like it's not going to but it's so special to me. diva and sekai can coexist surely...
August 20, 2026 at 4:14 AM
speaking of diva1, 2 thoughts regarding disappearance:

I didn't remember it was originally an image slideshow PV! unless the PV changes based on difficulty the only PV the stage it's usually associated with was used for was Moon (GORGEOUS song btw)
