Inside Apple, I'm told "not a soul" supports Donald Trump's Lake Ontario rebrand to "Lake America," but the company is also resigned to making such concessions to avoid the White House's rage.
Some people are treating this as a problem of motor skill development, and yeah, that's a thing, too, but what this really does is deprive children of play and imagination, and it also ensures that they don't have a hope in hell of ever actually getting good at anything.

one of the great things about 2026 is I get anywhere from 1-20 spam voicemails a day, upwards of 10 spam texts a day, my family gets spam calls mentioning my name, and there’s just nothing anyone can or wants to do about it

there is no rhyme or reason to an entire “AI” department, much less an AI school. There is no curriculum, as such, because AI is not a school of thought. It has no theory, no method. It’s just a tool. Two or three courses, max, if someone is obsessed with it should suffice.

Charles Xavier being played by a millennial fits the "not anywhere near as old as he looks" thing that's actually a really useful character detail. Rich boy who's wildly unqualified to be out here running a school. His many degrees ain't got nothing to do with education. Glorified youth pastor
One funny thing in the oldest X-Men comics is him being basically right out of grad school and more of a big brother than a grandpa, but just looking really old because he's bald. So this all works
