I remember outrage about Just Stop Oil blocking a street, just in case an ambulance had to drive down it. Not because an ambulance was prevented from doing so, you understand. Just the abstract idea that one might have to.

We know with certainty that Brexit was a disaster, and now while Canada negotiates associate membership with the EU, Britain is stuck on the sidelines of its own continent.

Hopefully this will be the moment our government stops dragging its feet and finally rethinks our relationship with Europe.2/2

The middle powers need to stand together, and today Mark Carney demonstrated exactly how that's done.

For years I've been calling for rebuilding our relationship with Europe. 1/2

Canada becoming EU 'associate member' would be positive move, Carney says
The PM says Canada having closer EU links would also make it a more "effective partner" of the US, adding no-one will tell his country who it can strike agreements with.

3,300 job losses, with another 1000 to be axed. Real terms funding down a third since 2015. The Met at its smallest size per head of population. A functioning police force cannot carry on like this. I am writing to the Minister for Policing and Crime to push for a better deal for our Met Police.

This report is rightly sceptical of how the government has acted.

If Scotland’s renewable energy wealth is to serve the Scottish public, the government needs to massively improve governance and transparency.

Ministers should set out a long term plan for using ScotWind revenues.

Sepsis is the second biggest killer of cancer patients. Yet infection is only mentioned once in the National Cancer Plan.

We need more diagnostic tests so we can protect vulnerable patients.

The RNLI has said the abuse of volunteers in Portsmouth has forced it to close the lifeboat station there and stop operating since September 10. Nearby stations have been providing cover to the area instead. One of the UK's largest coastal cities without a lifeboat because of the far-right.

Completely unacceptable that the incredibly brave and dedicated RNLI volunteers are being treated in this way. They are the best of us and truly represent the country I know and love.
🚨 NEW: RNLI has now temporarily closed its Portsmouth station after staff and volunteers faced "physical abuse" and doxing over bringing migrants ashore

I’m proud to be on the right side of the fight with the Lib Dems. The path the party’s forging is the countries best chance to a fairer future for all

Fantastic news that Enhertu is available on the NHS in England. This drug can give some breast cancer patients months, even years, more with their loved ones.

It's a huge win for patients and campaigners who never gave up.
