Helping you learn more about languages and linguistics
Language exchange should be more than sending “hi” to strangers and hoping someone replies.

LLH Speak is being built around the things that make practice genuinely useful.

Speaking another language is already uncomfortable enough. Finding someone to practise with shouldn’t be.

A little reminder for your lock screen.

You don’t need perfect grammar, or perfect confidence to use a language.

You just need to keep trying, stumbling, speaking, and having conversations.

Save your favourite wallpaper and make it the thing you see before you overthink your next sentence.

Why do English speakers say “I’m afraid…” when they are not frightened?

In everyday English, the phrase is often used to soften bad news, a refusal or a disagreement.

Think of it as another way of saying:

“I’m sorry to say…”

What other English phrase makes no literal sense to you?

There’s something strange about modern language learning.

We have more apps, AI tools, hacks, and resources than ever before, yet millions of people still feel stuck.

Maybe the problem isn’t motivation.

Maybe it’s that most platforms optimise for retention, not transformation.

Very few are willing to practise long enough to get it.
