I am just as ill at ease over the way this administration has hijacked American democracy...and taking basic competence with them.

But for a number of reasons I'm done with outrage. These people no longer get my anger. Just my determination to replace it and chaos with justice and kindness.

Having us so whiplashed at the constant stream of atrocities is part of the plan. Make it so overwhelming we're paralyzed.

Job One is to bring real oversight to this administration. Paralyze them.

When they're gone, create a Nuremberg Trial style accounting.

The most common argument I see for guys like Tuberville is that they may not know the finer points, but they know how to get things done...or that they're "real Americans."

It's taking care of the details that keeps a functioning government and not chaos.

Being dumb isn't American. Be smart.

Actually, it's the exact opposite.

Stevens' entire leadership team from her chief of staff on down have resigned.

The Michigan Democratic party has completely circled the wagons around their candidate.

It's not Democratic discord. It's one failed candidate doing a 180 from her past positions.

So what it comes down to is Haley Stevens switched her support because she thought Abdul El-Sayed was a mean girl.

Am I missing something?

OK...

I was raised Jewish. I still consider myself a cultural Jew in many ways, even as an atheist. I support Israel as a past beacon of justice and freedom in the world.

So as an advocate of Jewishness and Israel, I'm obligated to oppose a government that disrespects a part of Judaism I admire.

If I'm understanding it correctly, her 11th hour switcheroo was based on El-Sayed's past association with Hassan Piker and his statements about Israel.

OK. Does she have thoughts about Mike Rogers and his association with the Oval Office occupant?

It appears she does!

Since so many of your constituents are on Bluesky, I'm wondering if you're willing to engage them on this forum.

You have over 25,000 followers here. It'd be interesting to offer an explanation for your endorsement of Mike Rogers. You already spoke about it on X.

I'm fine with Haley Stevens endorsing Mike Rogers. If she has a coherent story that got her from running against him and everything he stood for to endorsing him as a way to oppose Dr. El-Sayed, let her speak it.

If it convinces one undecided to vote for Rogers, I'll be surprised.

THIS JUST IN…

One defeated Senate candidate hedging on her endorsement at the last minute isn’t disarray. It’s one person without a constituency changing her mind.

Maybe it’s how you sell papers and subscriptions. But it’s not journalism.

Haley Stevens hedging on her endorsement of Abdul El-Sayed isn't the story. She has every right to, and if she votes her conscience, I disagree, but respect that.

Every Republican NOT pulling their endorsement of the Oval Office occupant, who is clearly not fit to be POTUS...

That's the story.
