Seeing some new followers and haven't done a "who am I" type thread so here it goes:

My main claim to fame is @koboa.bsky.social , THE South American Fantasy TTRPG setting.

I'm the project lead there. My main achievement is bringing together an INCREDIBLE team of talent from all over South America

Next Koboa clss is the Rhythmatist.

The story of this class is a combat-oriented character that has a mystical connection to something called "The First Rhythm". This is a magical phenomenon of Koboa that connects all things when they are in harmony, which the Rhythmatist seeks to enhance.

Game Design Talk, let's go:

One of the hardest things to figure out when making a good game is balancing. The concept is kinda easy: game should be challenging but *just enough*, while providing help but not *too much*. On a scale where 0 is assisted and 10 is ruthless challenge, we aim for a *6*.

Jungle animals are healthier when they eat better, do more about exercise, and don't have massive leeches twice their size sucking out all their blood
OH, REALLY? /s

Oh man this gag was hilarious. The dad of the wolf family was watching the game and it cut to this, showing what he was watching

That said, I think that's not an issue of the responders on the scene. Frankly, I think this is how a 60 something white woman near the Shrewsbury line gets treated in the middle of the night on a Tuesday. "Ok grandma, let's get you home" is the whole vibe. That disparity is part of why we need CRB.

While Latinx Heritage Month also represents countries in LatAm getting their independence.

A reminder that Boriken (Puerto Rico) is not free. We don't have our independence and if you live in the US, you benefit from our continuous colonization. You have an obligation to speak up for our freedom.

Love this subclass too. I feel like a lot of combat in 5e is very static and this class seeks to change that by encouraging a lot more movement. It proved a lot of fun in our playtesting and games that we've played with it.

Zephyr turned 2 years, and its been 2 years of working hard to get it known, get the word out, and getting people playing. I have poured my heart and soul, years and years of learning and research and drawing and writing. If you wanna enjoy the fruit of those years, maybe check it out <3
In the Zephyr TTRPG, you play as sentimental constructs of wood and ash, venturing into a sentient, moving landmass in an epic adventure to hunt kings, stop the advance of state capture and colonization, as well as to fulfill sacred obligations.

I have to deal with one of these in my current campaign. He's the MVP of every combat. Twice in a row he disabled 3+ strong enemies with Hypnotic Pattern.

He's also a small Kadwot that rides a Capybara, so I can't get mad at him. 😅

Its been a controversial class with our backers (a lot *love* it and a lot *hate* it) and by far the most talked about class from Koboa. I personally totally love the way this random spellcaster works and think its one of the coolest most interesting and bold designs we bring with Koboa.
On to classes!
The first of the two new classes in Koboa is the bruje, a spellcaster class. The bruje tells the story of a character connecting to an old lost art. It's inspired by pain of what was lost to colonialism, the practices and cultures destroyed by invaders. And of course, brujería.

This class is for people that like big highs and big lows. Sometimes you'll hilariously get a terrible spell for the situation, and sometimes you'll be casting a spell you shouldn't have access to for several levels. Its a ton of fun.

The Charm Master is a fun design that has a lucky number. When the number comes up in your checks or rolls you can have all sorts of extra effects come up.

First subclass is the Bakenllé. This is the weapons + spellcasting subclass that has some martial capabilities. The fun thing about this one is you get some combat magic dice that start as a d2 and get stronger as you do martial things. Bank them long enough and you can cast massive spells

Leveling up on the class gives you tools to control what you get. At first, you start being able to lessen the effect of your spell, if you for some reason want to use something lower than what you rolled. Eventually you start getting points you can spend to increase results when you need that oomph

Mechanically, you're spending your spell slots to cast a spell that is sometimes 1-2 levels lower than it should be, sometimes at the right level, and sometimes a level higher than you should be able to achieve.

I find this style of play incredibly fun.

The class simulates unpredictable lostish arts by adding a random element to spellcasting. Rather than cast a specific spell, brujes cast a category of spell (called an encanto), and roll to see the actual spell they get. Their main combat encanto, Embrace Harm and Destruction, has a damaging effect

The form of the sial is a humanoid with hands that can glow and fairy-like wings. It originates from the continent of Sotashka, and came to Koboa when Sotashkans arrived to help Native Koboans fight off the Larensian colonizers.
