My new Hiroyuki Sawano and Keiichi Okabe inspired track, Leviathan's Approach, is finally out!! I'm so happy with how everything turned out - I spent weeks constructing my own language specifically for the track, and then wrote poems in it for the choir chants!

I'd rather see someone making "shitty" art or music than to see genAI anything.
Cause everyone has to start somewhere, so why not start by learning an art program or pick up an instrument or DAW?
Sure, there is a tough climb to start but gosh, it's so worth it in the end!

I think it's absolutely wild that YouTube's new Shorts monetisation system requires 10 million views (?!?) in the last 90 days. The way a "view/listen/play" has been somehow even further devalued over the past decade while hosting platforms become more and more wealthy is genuinely evil stuff

It feels like we're in the part of Plague Inc. where the virus (gen-AI companies) is purposely making sure its symptoms are hidden (keeping the price low) so that it can infect Madagascar (get full market saturation) before it starts killing people (raises the price by multiple orders of magnitude)

Recently I've been getting back into arranging music in a big way, and I think the thing that really helped is recognising that my artistic process guarantees that whatever gets made absolutely would not exist unless I specifically made it. Anyway it is your duty to make weird and beautiful things

If gen-AI could create something identical to my work without me having to raise a finger, I would still want to make it myself, instead. Every choice I make when making art is informed by every past experience I've had, and I think that is intrinsically valuable.
