👀 NEW: launched today @cbffjuk.bsky.social covid inquiry tracker. We’re monitoring how far the Govt have implemented inquiry recommendations to date.
Will be updated in real time.
Bereaved families shouldn’t have to do this but we are ‘cos we want to keep us all safe.

Bereaved families fought hard to get the Covid Inquiry set up -but what really matters is the changes it leads to

That’s why we’ve today launched an Inquiry Recommendations Tracker - the 1st of its kind - to monitor & assess the implementation phase

In 2021, I got an anonymous & cryptic letter in the post -simply listing payments to a consultancy firm by the UK's largest NHS provider.

The LONG series of FOIs, appeals & reviews that followed has now led to the trust's procurement practices being overhauled

Apparently dissatisfaction is generally significantly higher among younger people…who tend to use services less.

Possibly says something about access and some of the antiquated/difficult routes into seeing a GP and other services

Reasons for NHS optimism from @leonoramerry.bsky.social

- Recent uptick in satisfaction (from v low point)

- Positive recent increases in scores in various patient services

-The NHS has been knocked down before, but it got up again (1990s spirit in more ways than one)

A feeling the NHS might not be accessible and there when you really need it is deeply damaging & undermining for satisfaction levels, says @leonoramerry.bsky.social

Our Big Read today is on the $2tn monster — a debt-servicing burden that gobbles up tax revenues and has the power to overwhelm elected leaders.
