Today, we honor and remember one of our own.

On this day in 2009, Lee County Deputy James Anderson was killed in the line of duty when he was intentionally struck and pinned beneath a vehicle during a traffic stop.

We continue to pray for Deputy Anderson’s family. 🕯

The annual “Ride to Remember” Memorial Ride honoring Lee Co. Deputy James Anderson is coming up on Sun. 9/20.

The ride will begin at 3pm EST in the parking lot of Smiths Station Jr. High and end at Garden Hill Cemetery in Opelika, where a memorial wreath will be placed at his final resting place.
