We should not let Eliezer “I like Buffy the Vampire Slayer, but not in the same way you plebeian fools do” Yudkowsky and his weirdo friends regulate and run the U.S. AI sector, which they are perilously close to doing, as I discuss here:

I have loved my life of virginity and chastity. "Know thyself" says the Delphic maxim. "Find your own happiness" comments Austen. I have had the excellent luck of knowing myself and finding my own happiness while always ignoring the views of others.

Typical male pattern: they will support violence more and when supporting it they will believe they are winning. Women, otoh, will support violence way less and even when supporting it, they will have the integrity of mind to recognize they are not winning.

Mother and I went to see a troupe of artistic lesbians knitting on the air. We loved it.

The real reason why people are so obsessed to send their kids to a "good school" it's because that increases their chances to get into an elite university. Elite universities are the gatekeepers to institutional power and economic access and a mockery to the equalitarian democratic principle.
Nikole Hannah-Jones w/ a sobering follow-up on her decision yrs ago to enroll her daughter in a poor, majority-Black public school rather than a wealthier, whiter private school.

You leave heartbroken for the kids being failed by this grossly unequal system.

A decade ago, I made a decision about my daughter’s education that I hoped would challenge New York City’s separate and unequal school system. Now 16, she thinks I made the wrong choice.

Wait. The Kennedy Center is going to be demolished by Trump?! What. How did this come to happen.
Donald Trump might yet demolish the Kennedy Center

But he will never vanquish the spirit of America

And whatever he destroys can-and will-be rebuilt
The Kennedy Center crowd is singing America The Beautiful. This is what democracy looks like.

My personal theory is that April and September are the two months that look the most alike in both hemispheres. They say September doesn't really look like autumn in Europe and neither it does like spring in my country.

I was suspended at evil app for pointing out that Google will give you a list of plants that can kill you but not one that can provoke an abortion:

I'm crying with The Children of Húrin: one of the most annoying families in fantasy. I have decided to rewrite it with a happy ending:

• Finduilas notices Túrin is sort of a jerk and decides Gwindor is her one true love

Just noticed that *Literature* has many books on tragic love but very few on happy romance (actually, only Jane Austen comes to mind).

"But what was Aragorn's taxation policy" says man who never wrote about Daenerys' taxation policy.

Films directed by women are oddly devoid of eroticism and "sexyness", if anything they seem to show a certain disgust and semi-ironic gaze with sex related matters (Wuthering Heights by Emerald Fennell and Bride! by Maggie Gyllenhall come to mind).

Erotic texts from the Tang dynasty (and before) make the opposite point of so called "evolutionary psychology": that women find gentleness erotic, not violence (will post more extensively in X later).

So, my favourite pens have tended to be this cheap classic (in black or blue): the pasta BPS 0.7 mm (Fine) Pilot. In general, as a rule I tend to prefer a 0.5 or 0.38 mm point (which is the fastest for writing in paper such Oxford notebooks: I have tested).

Given that Moleskine is trending, I shall share my view on what are the best notebooks/notepads (by sheet texture and adequateness to write quickly):

• Moleskine
• Leuchtturm
• Oxford
• Enri
• Cedon
• Kokuyo
• Rhodia
• Fabriano

G.R.R. Martin really did say this and then:

1. Create a world with almost no economically active city, just castles (not even villages beside). From where do the Starks get money? No one knows.

2. Make a Targaryen matrimonial policy that -besides incest- makes no sense whatsoever.

I was sort of moved when Concubine Fuyou was reunited with her childhood sweetheart in The Apothecary Diaries, can't believe I'm learning to like anime.

If the logic is "abortion is wrong because is killing an innocent human life", would not this same logic follow with "war is wrong because there is innocent human life as collateral damage" and if the retort is "but sometimes we must accept the collateral damage" why can you say so and not women?

The longest epic is not very known in western literature: the Gesar of Ling, longer than the Iliad and the Mahabharata, is still popular in Tibet and Central Asia and can be recited from memory by local balladeers. Stranger still, the Gesar story may have been inspired on the Roman Caesars.
