I have a few varieties of #hibiscus in my #garden. This year a few of the plants had their stalks broken (or perhaps chewed) by #skunks. I never had this problem before. Other than putting a wire cage around the plants, does anyone have ideas on deterring them next year?

#garden #plants #hibiscus hibiscus started blooming here (Midwest USA) about 2 weeks ago. Oh no, some pest has decided to get its meal about 9 inches from the dirt and chewed the stalks. Local nursery says it's likely rabbits. Any ideas on how to protect the plants? Chicken wire cages seem ugly.
