We had a lovely welcome on our visit to LOGS Junior School this morning - to explain the work of the #Lewes Urban Arboretum team, tell them about the #trees that we planted outside their school, and to share news about the Rights of our Trees Charter for Lewes.

Weeding and renewing the strimmer guards this morning on the #trees we planted in Prince Edwards Road, Gundreda Road, and Ferrers Road, #Lewes. Lovely weather for it!

Hundreds of berries are beginning to turn red on the three Whitebeam #trees we planted alongside Abergavenny Road, #Lewes. These are three of the native "Trees for Birds" that we planted there in 2015.

So many berries on the wildlife #hedge that we planted at the bottom of #Lewes Cemetery in 2021, funded by #Beelines, with the support of Lewes District Council.
Here are some of them - Hawthorn berries, Blackthorn sloes, Rose hips, and Guelder Rose berries.

New things at Malling Deanery Arboretum,#Lewes, today - two fruits on the Handkerchief #Tree and ripening berries on both the Bee-bee Tree and the Japanese Raisin Tree, and the Swamp Cypress by the river was developing autumn colours.

Our second guided #tree walk around Malling Deanery Arboretum during #Lewes Heritage Open Days. A lovely group of people enjoyed listening and learning from the vast experience and knowledge of Peter Thurman.

Another fantastic guided tree walk around the Malling Deanery Arboretum yesterday! Peter Thurman shared fascinating facts about 32 of the special #trees in this private garden. We are very grateful to the owners for letting us enjoy this wonderful place in #Lewes !
