After 4 years of effort, I'm happy to announce that one of the final secrets of the PS2 has been broken wide open!
It's been a long process of decapping, optical dumping, and now at last a software solution.

Finally!!! This is the first time any Konami Python 1 arcade title has ever been emulated! This is technically "in game", however PCSX2 hard crashes after this step so still lots of work ahead.

I'm so concerned for the fate of the hobby electronics industry in the US.
I have friends who run small online shops selling modern hobby retro gear and it feels like, at least for now, it's going to end in short order.
No one can absorb these tariffs.
