On the other hand, generally speaking, it's also extremely easy to not get sanctioned or disbarred. You can do an incredible amount of unethical shit (directly in the face of federal judges, it seems) and suffer little to no consequences for a long time!

I’ve read some fanfiction that outstrips the source material as far as writing goes, and I’ve read some reeeaaaally dark fanfiction that was genuinely incredible.
I haven’t read Manacled but after Alechemised I definitely never will 💀
