It’s great that it looks like MAGA will get crushed in the midterms. But it remains perplexing how so many voters who were more than willing to forgive Trump for having incited an attack on the Capitol are now unwilling to forgive him for having placed a little stress on their household budgets.

I would be interested to know if Joseph McCarthy ever sank so low as to baselessly accuse a public servant of perjury while using a word like “dirtbag” during a televised hearing. The Senate should do its job and censure Eric Schmitt for his public display of his vulgarity and rank stupidity.
