A moment of brightness: in my trans coming out group a woman decided to try out a new name and I was blessed to see her eyes light up the first time I used it. Huge W and an experience that I cannot recommend enough.

Things suck and are on fire but when you're with other trans folk that shit fades into the background. It sucks that it depends on where you are geographically but if you have the means connect with your community. I held out for too long but the last year has been so wonderful.
for folks just figuring out they're trans or in their early days, online community is really good to have right now but i cannot stress how important it is to be around other trans people in real life
you need those hugs, to hear those laughs in the room, to share that space and 𝘴𝘦𝘦 each other

kinda cool how the only thing i needed to do to start actually being happy in life is to consistently hang out with cool trans women irl. it makes everything feel so normal.

the thing about incarcerated trans people is that virtually no one will stand up for them & that’s fucking horrific because i literally cannot think of a worse place to be a trans person in america than prison.
if you’re cis you should read this.

Trans people in Georgia prisons are being forced to detransition. Now they're suing.
A class action lawsuit representing nearly 300 incarcerated people says the state's refusal to allow gender-affirming care constitutes cruel and unusual punishment.

these fucking libs. I fucking swear. "ally" just means they're going to beep their horn a couple times before running you down and then yelling at you as they road haul you for having the audacity to get some blood on their bumper.

the rad libs are such a nuisance. just say the slur and tell me to enjoy the camps. I don't have time or energy for this shit and you've got a big couple of years ahead of you making sure the worst option available becomes your figurehead again.

100% true. Also you have to ask if we played basketball in high school to show appreciation for the help. My people don't understand it but it seems to make sense to short people.

It's anecdotal, but I don't know anyone in CA who likes Newsom. He's empty. He can't take a piss without proper polling data. If Dems look to him as some kind of fascism cure, we are well and truly fucked. Anyone who hails him as a serious contender is being paid.

Bronzed Cowbird is an absolute treat to see and not a bird I expected to find! I love their red eyes and Dracula hood of nape feathers. Males floof like this to impress lady birds.

It absolutely is a concentration camp and it does not diminish any previous history of concentration camps. People need to pull their heads out of their asses because this sparkling death camp shit is one of the most dangerous narratives in the run up to full genocide.
I have no doubt that Laura Loomer would be wearing a Nazi arm band in 1930s Germany.
But that does not make this concentration camp (or if you prefer, gulag) into an extermination camp.
It diminishes what happened at Auschwitz.

Republicans are now suddenly planning to TAX renewable energy, transforming the repeal of the IRA from a challenge to a full-blown crisis for American solar and wind.
I spent the last 24 hours putting this story together to explain why.

Really wish that the facial hair would thin out just a bit. Like, just enough that I could cut it regularly without it fighting back and making my face look like the Western Front in 1917.

Watched the Destiny 2 dev livestream and one of the transphobes spamming the chat said, "HRT WILL MAKE ME GOD" and I'd just really like it if these idiots would stop accidently saying fucking rad, pro-trans things.

I love my cis friends, but on days like today, it becomes extremely clear how siloed off information is because I haven't heard from anyone. I'd take, "this is so fucked," and hold on to it so tightly I'd worry about crushing the air from its lungs. "There's so much going on," I tell myself quietly.
