Mary Testa once said I was great. Theater, horror, and Housewives. Co-host of Supporting Actresses. [email protected]
Still overpacking but I’m cramming everything into one tiny suitcase which makes it OK.

The way this is the entire Trump presidency. Well, this and the racism dial.

My read is that there aren’t five votes to let Trump literally rig elections. Roberts and Barrett won’t greenlight overt election subversion or chaotic, illegal interference with voting. Kavanaugh and Gorsuch aren’t reliable but don’t love the chaos either. Thomas and Alito want to end democracy.
In upside-down world, Justice Alito blames "the plaintiff States and the courts" for causing the late timing of USPS' attempt to interfere in mail voting by suing to stop it.

Unmentioned by Alito: USPS issued the rule in violation of an injunction.

In response to this, the DeSantis administration releases a statement saying that they'd make this outrageous cage "even smaller if we could."

The Department of Homeland Security's own Inspector General said it violated every detention standard and posed a significant danger to health and safety.

I love writing Jeopardy! boards and am always looking for an excuse to do another one.

This movie makes it seem like it’s very easy to instantly kill someone by stabbing them in the back with a pair of scissors. I just don’t know about that!
ICYMI: Ahead of our main feed episode on A Perfect Murder, we discussed the Alfred Hitchcock thriller Dial M for Murder exclusively on the Patreon.

One thing you may not know? Both Grace Kelly and Gwyneth Paltrow had 5 film years that culminated in an Oscar win.

On tonight’s RHUGT, Vicki finally stops being a drag in time for Luann to make an ass of herself. Given enough camera time, all these Housewives will remind you of the shamelessness and narcissism that made them stars.
The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip Recap: Gag Order
Lisa can’t shake the feeling that her SLC castmates have ruined her chances of fitting in with the Girls Trip wives.

The Fourth Man is a masterpiece.
Paul Verhoeven’ earlier Dutch movies are special to me because a few are far gayer and the second he makes the transition to English that impulse is subdued. Something about that felt transactional to going Hollywood.

Obviously not the point, but what is going on with him facially.
Kushner on Ukraine:

“President Putin's laid out his line of what he wants to achieve. If Ukraine, you know, wanted to withdraw to that line, then obviously, you know, we have the rest of the deal set up and put together. Ukraine right now does not want to do that.”

ICYMI: we brought back @pmiscove.bsky.social to cover Gwyneth Paltrow and Jessica Lange in Hush, a movie that (for better or for worse) probably planted a seed of an idea for Ryan Murphy.

If you want to hear us talk about older movies, the Patreon is a great place for that! I think it’s a great place in general, but I’m biased.
In today’s Patreon episode, we’re prepping for our Chasing Gwyneth Paltrow episode on A Perfect Murder by covering the 1954 thriller Dial M for Murder. Plus: Goop Pope, Tarantino on Broadway, and railing against the AMC Coke ad.

It’s time we declare the Vicki Gunvalson Comeback Project a disaster. Tonight’s episode of RHOC is another clear reminder that this woman no longer makes sense on reality television.

My Vulture recap is up now.

If you earnestly believe that AI is going to take over the world and end humanity (I don’t personally), then the only logical position is that AI needs to be destroyed. Not sure what kind of guardrails these people are imagining when they’re already assigning god-like powers to this stuff.
