Looking Back on Two Years
It's been a while..? An introspective life update feat. Anatomy of a Fall and Cornelia the New Priest (Umineko Tsubasa).
home.rastagong.eu
Finally wrote an update on my blog after 2.5 years! feat. that one scene from Anatomy of a Fall and a side story from Umineko Tsubasa! home.rastagong.eu/article/look...
It got more introspective than expected and a little maudlin so I'm sorry! I'm planning to write Part II sometime in February

I love The Annual Ghost Town Pumpkin Festival so much. I think this is my third year playing it. Small MMOs (I'm sure there's a better existing term for it) make me so happy and this has been a really fun one to play with my kids. It's only online every October and new stuff is added each year

Period "pieces" I experienced this week while on leave from the indignities of work…
Sense and Sensibility (1811)
Sense and Sensibility (2026)
Marie-Antoinette (2006)
Marie-Antoinette: 20th anniversary exhibit at the Petit Trianon in Versailles
I enjoyed it all a lot…

Every time someone links to this film, I have to repost it. It's one of the most significant bits of British 20th century art. Everything about it is incredible. Groundbreaking music production by Daphne Oram. Amazing camera work by Wolfgang Suschitzky (who later filmed Get Carter).-

The usual moral “I’ll support anything as long as the rosette is red” voids in the replies to this.
The reality is that Sunak did take real political damage in sacking Braverman and taking the whip from Anderson.
Starmer and Burnham both useless on this.

I think it should be a source of deep embarrassment – and perhaps even shame – that Rishi Sunak has spoken out on this before Andy Burnham has.
Former PM Rishi Sunak in the Sunday Times challenges the rise of ethno-nationalism in British politics, as an argument within the right about Britishness being about ancestry, DNA and ethnicity

We'd like your help with something. The one hundredth anniversary of Ursula's birth will take place in 2029. This may seem a long time away, but we’re already starting to think about how to celebrate Ursula’s life and art. We’d love to add your ideas to the mix—there's a brief survey here:

One of the coolest things about people who don't have a lot of power taking a principled stand is it lays bare the complete cowardice of the ones who actually *do* have power when they fail to do even a fraction as much.
Unlike Macklemore, these support acts don’t have big followings and they are giving up their chance to perform to stadiums to push back against censorship, not of themselves but of a fellow artist. Respect.
The Irish musicians, Beoga, who play alongside Ed Sheeran, have withdrawn from Sheeran’s tour.
