So what's next after today's May Day mobilizations?

On June 14, Trump wants tanks in the street and a made-for-TV display of dominance for his birthday.

But real power isn't staged in DC. It rises up everywhere else. That's why we're planning a nationwide day of action to say No Kings. 🧵

Don’t call them “potential conflicts of interest.” This is corruption before our very eyes. All the rest of the chainsaw maneuvers is just to distract us from what is really going on. Let him know that We SEE You!!

Against decades of pressure, the Tagaeri and Taromenane tribes stood firm. Ecuador’s top court has now upheld their right to live in isolation—halting oil exploration in their territory. A powerful reminder: resilience can protect both culture and nature. #IndigenousRights #Rainforest #Resilience
Rainforest Oil Exploration Stopped as Court Rules Uncontacted Tribes Have Right to Remain in Isolation
The court also ruled that Ecuador must honor the results of a 2023 referendum, in which voters chose to stop oil operations in that region.

Letters went out to federal workers this morning stating they were fired due to poor performance. However, all employees had been rated as “exceptional” performers by their supervisors. Please keep these records and pursue wrongful termination claims. Let the lawsuits begin.

Another attack on the NPS. Our national parks are natural treasures preserved for the people and future generations to enjoy. They are cost efficient and slashing their infrastructure will dismantle a 100 + years of work to establish them.
Yosemite National Park figured out a way to eliminate bumper-to-bumper traffic and hour-long waits: limit the number of visitors by requiring reservations.

But the reservation system is now on hold to give the Trump administration time to review the planned changes.
In major shift, Yosemite delays reservation system amid Trump administration review
Delays in moving forward with a permanent reservation system at Yosemite National Park in California are creating confusion.

Authoritarianism, or worse, a bro-ligarchy led by Elon Musk, may be our greatest fear, Times columnist Anita Chabria writes. But California's attorney general said we’re not there yet.

If you were hoping to visit a National Park this summer forget about. They won't be able to stayvopen without their summer help.
Heartbreaking news… Tonight, many of our friends were let go, and tomorrow, even more will follow. Word is that all probationary employees at NPS will be let go. 😭
