I can only recommend working in this group, the WZB, and (to an extent, at least for some months of the year) Berlin.

Ethnopluralismus ist ein verschleiernder Begriff für eine rassistische, rechtsextreme Weltsicht - völkischer Rassismus, ohne das Wort „Rasse“ in den Mund nehmen zu müssen. Jedem „Volk“ gehöre ein Territorium, und jedes „Volk“ zeichne sich durch bestimmte Eigenschaften aus.

Es wird gerade viel diagnostiziert, dass die Arbeiter jetzt die AfD wählen. Problem ist, dass das fast ausschließlich über subj. Einschätzung als Arbeiter passiert. Verwendet man objektive Daten über Berufe ist die AfD keineswegs bei Arbeitern am stärksten. Hier mit Parteinähe und Daten des ESS.

I hear this often, especially compared to A/fD.

But 2024 data confirm different story: programmatically, the overlaps are strikingly close.
The real difference is govt participation, not ideology.

And yet, many still label the SVP as a center-right ("bürgerlich") party
