Private health insurance with the ability of not insuring preexisting conditions left millions at home dying because they couldn’t afford hospitalization. That’s the America I grew up in. Medicare solved that problem if you made it into retirement age but gap insurer’s could still deny coverage.

Oh, Brian Thompson literally killed many people who had insurance by Not paying for procedures/claims that were in many cases desperately needed. He was an ultimate authority on who deserved to live, or die. He made poor decisions and "he" was "offed" for it.
