During #Gamescom2026, I had the chance to ask a bunch of question to Zeitgeist Studio's Mandy Wong about their upcoming hand-drawn indie horror game, #NameOfTheWill! Check out our interview here!

I've been pretty hyped for #WAROTA for quite a while and I'm super excited to hear that it's releasing into #EarlyAccess later this year in November! More on that here!

During #Gamescom2026, I've not been checked a single time for any tools or weaponry. At the same time, developers have had their hardware stolen throughout the week despite "security being the highest priority" for the organizers. A comment.
Gamescom 2026’s Laptop Theft Spree: It’s a Security Problem
Laptops, controllers, and other hardware were stolen over night at this year's Gamescom - and yet, the organizers are doing nothing about it despite promising 24/7 security.

I finally managed to recover a once-corrupted recording of an interview I did at Gamescom 2024 with LUAL Games' AL about their upcoming narrative-driven Lovecraftian roguelike, #EldritchEmpathy! Learn about Papers, Please inspired combat and understanding the unfathomable in today's #devinterview!
Eldritch Empathy Interview: LUAL Games on Lovecraft, Empathy, and “Combat” Inspired by Papers, Please
Eldritch Empathy is a Lovecraftian narrative roguelite where understanding cosmic horrors might be more important than killing them. I spoke with LUAL Games' Anna-Lena Pontet at Gamescom about empathy, language, player agency, and the game's unusual Papers, Please-inspired "combat."

#MagicalPrincess is a daughter-raising sim with a whole lot of charm, very lovable characters and just so much to do... I never would have thought that I'd enjoy it this much, but more on that in today's #review.

In a world where one kingdom loves bread and the other loves rice, you'll have to put extra effort into raising a good daughter that knows which carb is superior. More on that in today's review!

Today, I rejected the hundredth developer reaching out asking me to review their game even though I don't cover stuff that has generative AI in it. A quick explanation on why I don't do cover AI slop... and a lot of ranting.

That's such a mood.

I think about how if you swab an ant with the right chemicals, it just thinks it died and will take itself to the graveyard for dead ants and be dead for a while until the scent fades.

And then it just goes about its day like nothing happened.

Like, gosh.

I built this computer in 2019 and only today I actually calibrated the colours. Similarly, I got my drawing tablet in 2023 and only now realised that the colours on it look WAY different compared to what the finished drawings look like on my phone, on my PC, on other people's devices.

Oops.

#COPACITY is a tycoon/management game where you build up fan zones around the city to get it ready to deal with a lot of soccer fans. Sadly, it sometimes falls a bit too short to attain greatness.

What's the point of publishing a review policy if no fucking dev reads it? I keep getting asked to review games with clanker-generated "art". If I don't reply, they'll send me "ICYMI" emails to get me to reply... So I have to reply and politely decline.

It's annoying as heck.

Today, I wanted to explain what "digga" means, a German slang term that keeps causing outcries internationally every few months... which is a great opportunity to talk about linguistics, something I personally enjoy doing... a lot.
