I get the point for sure but I think this assumes table adaptation is inherently a failure of the rules.
Cause a lot of RPGs are explicitly designed around rulings, interpretation, and adapting to the fiction. There's a difference between engaging with that design and having to fix a broken game.

In the world of RPGs, "don't play the rules as written" as an answer to problems experienced in play is a bit like "This Bestheda game is great, oh, you're not playing with these 37 mods that's why you're not having fun, you should have known better". 😬

The mechanics are rules light and fiction first. The real focus is everything around play: pacing, scenes, spotlight, audio clarity, GM/player guidance, and producing good episodes without sacrificing a good game.
