I had a fun weekend at the cabin and learning how to use my telescope. For being so automated, there are still myriad settings I want to learn to get the best images. I'm also relearning the map of the sky. So many changes since my childhood refracting telescope. Thanks @haenck.bsky.social!

My favorite keto pasta added lasagna sheets to their offerings. It’s the first lasagna I’ve made in a few years without zucchini or hearts of palm sheets.

That's my Dad. This photo "disappeared" after his funeral. They eventually "found" a bad photocopy and mailed it back to Mom. I hate, love, and miss him. At 00:00 on October 31 it will be 25 years. Wonder what else I'll find on this drive.

My maternal grandpa's parents, Theodore and Edith. Theodore's parents were Jean Pierre and Marie Rose, born in the late 1700s and immigrated from Franche-Comté, France to upstate New York. The family had money, lost it, and moved to Iowa. Dark hair and ice blue eyes are a family thing.

In the 90s I went to an SCA event with friends. On the hotel TV they had Sailer Moon playing one episode after another on a loop. It was the only SCA event I've been to, and I was too shy to have fun of any kind. I hid behind my friends and did my best to be invisible. Now I hide behind Patrick.
