Australia does not need new gas and coal projects for energy. In fact, most of Australia’s gas & coal is exported.
Despite the story that the fossil fuel industry is critical to the Australian economy, it actually contributes very little in terms of revenue & employment.

Australia does not need new gas and coal projects for energy. In fact, most of Australia’s gas & coal is exported.

With lost royalties, tax avoidance, subsidies and environmental costs, it’s fair to say the gas industry costs Australians more than it contributes.
