They want you to be hopeless so you no longer invest in the future that YOU want.

Let’s stop living in rich white men’s wet dreams!

I had such an affirming conversation this afternoon with one of my UU ministers. Being creative and collaborative feeds my soul!

I guess I had more to share today. 🪴

All these people speaking out against Israhell and data centers at public meetings are being cut off and dragged out of sessions.

This is alarming.

Public comment is for the public to express their views regardless of how the electeds feel.

They’re not even pretending to be democratic anymore.

I was sitting on my front porch and a hummingbird flew by rather quickly, stopped right above me and chirped.

I think I made a friend.

We really need to honor and respect our elders more. They are fighters.

Received a surprise card in the mail from someone I admire.

It was lovely to read their words.

They filled up both sides and even squeezed in some words at the bottom.

I wondered how they picked out the card or if they had some on hand.

It was a garden.

I love this. I miss this.

I dream of sand between my toes with seaweed draped over my ankles like a sock or some other loose item of clothing lost in the wash.
I dream of giant rocks that are made for sitting with moss growing from beneath the craters.
I dream of juicy peaches so full that I need a fresh sleeve to wipe the liquid off my stained mouth.

"As I see it, for these and many Christian clergy and ethicists, the call to ministry includes an obligation to express their values of care for vulnerable neighbors precisely through a public willingness to accept personal risk."

(The Conversation) — Clergy sometimes place themselves in harm’s way for moral and religious reasons. A scholar of religious ethics explains when – and why.

“That care is also a tiny portion of Medi-Cal’s budget. Those reimbursements totaled $7.4 million — about 0.0004% of the program’s $194.4 billion budget last fiscal year, Anthony Cava, a spokesperson for the state health agency, said in an email.”

Y’all folks have been talking about universal healthcare since the 90s and beyond and we still stuck in this bullshit system. It’s almost like they don’t wanna change it 🤪

I second this completely. Ashe!
Understand your obligations & duties to help the collective survive. You think life's about pursuing your individual fancies not caring for how you're bound to others, but it's not. Your fate is truly bound with that of others. There are things you absolutely must do to do your part for us all.

Land Back and Reparations needs to be everyone's top priority. I'm done listening to folks talking about "saving democracy." It's time to build what we wanna see apart from this genocidal settler colonial project and that starts with land back and reparations.

It seems UUs are outraged that the church in Minneapolis was surveilled during the ongoing ICE resistance.

Mosques have been surveilled for decades without doing anything political.

Just by being Muslim, they are surveilled by the government.
Islamophobia is commonplace in the United States.

UUs that are outraged that the church in Minneapolis was surveilled, please know that mosques and Islamic community centers have been surveilled for the longest without doing anything political.

The selective outrage never ceases to amaze me.
