I am very sorry that this has happened to sarah but this is an incredible thread and “diversion to iceland is not a reasonable threat model” is an incredible sentence
people keep mentioning this, but here's the thing. i actually do carry an emergency bag on (1) flights away from home, (2) any flights with layovers. i was on a nonstop to home originating at a major hub airport. diversion to iceland is not a reasonable threat model bsky.app/profile/medi...
Having similarly been stranded overnight without my bag (which somehow made a later flight I was not able to get on), I am considering always carry toothpaste and an extra pair of socks in my carry on.

Not only does Australia not get updated vaccines in good time, the government has now limited free access. Based on the notion that we all have strong immunity due to infections and previous vax. So it’s basically relying on infections to protect people 😣 - huh?
This virus has evolved. Australia doesn't have a new vaccine
Australia is lagging behind the latest formulations being developed overseas.

@milliganreports.bsky.social has done a brilliant job (as always) with this #4corners report: she is explaining complicated issues in understandable ways.

I can’t even imagine the legal scrutiny her reporting, as is being broadcast right now, had to survive 😬🤯😱

Join me on an old woman's pointless quest to find & play 1000 sweeps (aka bingoes) on the NYT Crossplay app 🤣

No stupid cheat tools, just an old woman doggedly shuffling her digital tiles willing the sweeps to show themselves.

Quest commenced in last week of July. Let's see how long it takes...
