“Georgia Without Ivanishvili” march.

Tomorrow, Oct. 26, marks 2 yrs since GD rigged the 2024 Parliamentary elections, and eventually unleashed hell on Georgians.

People keep protesting ever since then, & daily since Nov. 28, 2024 (it’s Day 697).

2 important points:

Georgian Dream's propagandist have the newest message against Elene Khoshtaria:

"A mother of 4 children shouldn't be in politics to begin with."
Democratic leader Elene Khoshtaria's comment after today's footage that she was transported from prison to a clinic in a wheelchair.

Today, for the first time ever, I refrained from posting a story from my location in real time.

Life's headed to a great direction :))

Georgian democratic leader Elene Khoshtaria before and after jail. For a removable graffiti on Georgian Dream's electoral poster. Mother of 4.

Sentenced to 1.5 years.

She has 4 children.

Journalist asked if she was going to continue the fight.

“Until the end!” — Elene responded.

Shocking footage of democratic leader Elene Khoshtaria, transported from prison to a clinic for a check-up.

The wheelchair horrified society.

Her "crime?" An easily removable graffiti on the Georgian Dream's campaign banner, “Russian Dream.”

Every single day. For 700 days.

In the absence of lots of other factors, this persistence is what keeps the sentiment of uncertainty and inconclusiveness as opposed to a successful autocratic consolidation.

“Georgia’s Constitutional Court is considering a ruling party bid to ban the country’s largest opposition parties, a move critics warn would undermine democratic freedoms and ties with the West…”

Might be worth dressing up as a well-polished huge lips Georgian Dream woman this Halloween.

OH MY GOD 🤣🤣 at least somewhere Bidzina Ivanishvili is getting prosecuted LOL
Five large baobab trees remain at a warehouse in Durban, South Africa, while authorities investigate possible wrongdoing. The trees were reportedly destined for export to Georgia.

“Our lawsuit [on banning opposition parties] is the required minimum that any responsible political party must do in a democratic state,”

Add the rampant poverty and sometimes I'm more surprised that dissent is ongoing than why we haven't won yet.

Thought a brief recap/reminder couldn't hurt. None of this is fatalism or an excuse, of course. Just describing things.

4. Plus, ironically, a population that was so pro-European and anti-Kremlin that everyone's guards, both at home and abroad, went down. This is what I call the illusion of security.

3. Bidzina Ivanishvili's insane personal wealth (35% of Georgia's GDP as per Radio Free Europe's 2015 study);

Four factors that have worked against Georgia, among some others:

1. A hyper centralized state; 2. An electoral system that fully gave the entire state to a power elected with a plurality, not a majority;

I teared up.

And the constant thought that more and more Georgians die every day without ever seeing the freedom they longed for is killing me.

Met a fantastic young Serbian girl a few weeks ago. A true force of nature, bless her.

I knew her father had passed away. Today, she posted a story telling him that what he had fought for had finally come true: Vučić has been defeated.

I was on a flight.

Did Vucic really blame the "Deep State" for his loss?
