When you see a historical marker to a suburban development in the 1950s, you wonder, did they leave out the part about the restrictive covenant? I checked: the pool at the Levittown-inspired Twinbrook in Rockville, Md., was built 6 years after such a covenant was pulled. Whew.
It was a hot day, but it was so cool to be part of the unveiling of the Twinbrook Pool historical marker! It is a remarkable example of the DIY Twinbrook spirit that continues even now. Always grateful for the support of Mayor Ashton to capture all of our #Rockville history.
