That supposedly unrelated person could be a cousin, future spouse, coworker, migration companion, or newly arrived relative.

When you find the same date plus the same surname, witnesses, location, or other details, pay attention.

Naturalizations, deeds, marriages, probate actions, migrations, and other events may reveal relationships you never knew existed.
