After being told we were ok 2 weeks ago, my company has now asked me to find another person on my team to let go. My industry is tied to the market and the orange fuck has absolutely ruined that. On top of that, I am also calling BS on my company promising our AI implementation won’t affect staffing

Every time someone at work says “I have never seen us ask for this” I will always do a quick email search (I don’t delete them) of their name and the exact phrase I use whenever I ask for it. And I *REALLY* want to just send them a screenshot of the 5 years of receipts.

Maybe it’s just a me issue (it definitely is), but there’s a wealthfront commercial going around right now where the “totally real person and not an actor” calls their 10 month old child “very fresh” and it just gives me the ick for some reason.

I’ve had a fish tank going STRONG for 3 years. Only maintenance I had to do was for fun really, it was completely self sufficient and thriving. Super proud of it. Decided to make a change and make the rookiest of mistakes. Now my multigenerational fish are wiped out. Only plants are left. Gutting.
