We need to do some soul-searching to figure out how to make that adjustment in mathematics. But it needs to be done.
Also, there's no fucking need to produce art faster. It's not food. If an animated movie, or a book, or a music album takes five years to make, then so be it. "We need to make it faster" is a capitalistic mindset, and it's there to benefit the owners of corporations, not the workers/customers.

We cannot save ourselves with technology, particularly technology that "belongs" to some corporation. We can save ourselves by changing the way we think and live. Through Relationship, Reciprocity, Redistribution, and Responsibility we can save ourselves as we save eachother.

A HS Calc3 student of mine sent me this. It's excellent for so many reasons.
1) My students get math in their algorithm. Love those nerds.
2) The video talks about relative size and crappy flat maps.
3) The Calc III content in it is awesome! This will be my lesson tomorrow.

The electron quantum mechanically notices itself by emitting and reabsorbing a photon. The photon can have arbitrarily short wavelength which leads to an infinite self-energy.
If you require λ>L, "cutting off" problematic short wavelengths, the result is proportional to 1/L².
