HI. I'm a creature of the Internet who has been around for a long time. You may know me from my cartoony furry art, or my fursuit tutorial teaching efforts, VRC endeavors, or my hiking photos. I use bsky for enrichment. If you found me here & followed me you have to be nice to me, I'm sensitive.
As a behind the scenes I picked the mushroom ( Chlorophyllum olivieri ) used for reference from my yard. My specimen is bruised a little darker cuz of damage (it rained very hard before I collected it) which in addition to smell, spore print (white spores), & other factors to confirm its ID.

I made a costume for my coyote avatar for Halloween!! It is a shaggy parasol mushroom! It consists of the gilled mushroom cap as a hat & the annulus as the neck-mounted frill. I also have a particle system to emit spores that are in the shape of coyote fur tufts. Pet me a little too long and *poof*

Temptation to use one of my old soldering irons to heat up a wire and cut out the molded compartments is real. >:( Stinky mess tho. Its a little too difficult for me to cut with a razor though ;_; Shouldn't return because I already.. uh. tried to cut them.

I bought new storage containers to organize my soldering & electronics stuff to make space for it. I picked an organizer w/compartments in a sensible size, but cuz it was wrapped I couldn't see the inside compartments. Sadly they are plastic molded & literally only JUST a teeny bit too small. Wahh.

Yeah you can have cloudflare manage your dns servers and domain renewal and point it to whatever hosting you want. It still takes time to move and renew but worth it!

Same thing was happening to me. Price happy climbing on something that shouldn't happen to. so I transferred my domain and did the renew with cloudflare instead and it was back to a sensible price. Companies do be finding ways to squeeze folks who aren't paying attention.

In more exciting news I re-wired my DIY babble face tracker to work wirelessly and improved the circuit. I also replaced the LEDs I managed to burn out probably from wiring it really janky in the first place, haha. Now I can mount it to any headset and enjoy biting my friends in virtual space.

I'm so disappointed that the VRChat response to AI labelling (with 95% of 21,595 people wanting labels!!) is that they're adding other stuff (yay) but AREN'T adding labelling?? Now friends are choosing to stop subbing & some even stopping publishing content (all rightfully so). This feels SO bad. 😭

I'm so disappointed that the VRChat response to AI labelling (with 95% of 21,595 people wanting labels!!) is that they're adding other stuff (yay) but AREN'T adding labelling?? Now friends are choosing to stop subbing & some even stopping publishing content (all rightfully so). This feels SO bad. 😭

Basically one of the ways face tracking addons are handled is by patching them in to Unity. But its a really difficult concept to search for tutorials for, since results are how to USE those rather than creating them for others to use.

Does anyone have a resource lead for how to make a "patcher" for a mesh in Unity to add additional blendshapes I made to an avatar? I made face tracking blendshapes for an avatar that didn't have them yet and I want to share that edit with its community, but don't want to re-share the mesh itself.

I LOVE documentation, discussions, forums, looking at info, reading, finding WIP pictures and screenshots with context in a searchable format, but I greatly dislike Discord for this 1 massive reason. Its all behind its walled garden you have to login and join. This is big for searchable help!!

Thank you!! Still running into trouble. I get this situation. I got an invite code earlier, but now can't click to another friend to participate. I just want fun enticing toys. Is this desired action on the part of VRChat, me signing up for multiple emails?? I don't want that though!

Help I understand this less than before. 😭 Existing friend now? Can you help us out and explain with a bit more elaboration? What steps need to be done? Just have friend click link? Have person not friend you yet friend you? Please give us a little more help to get this understood!
