I was on the telly.
This is quite extraordinary.

I don't think I have heard a more coherent, articulate and accurate deconstruction & demolition of Nigel Farage's ReformUK, Tory & Restore policy than this. In under 85 seconds!

@rafaelbehr.bsky.social is on here folks and worth a follow.

Russian meddling probably didn’t affect the referendum result – but the Kremlin’s motives for wanting to undermine the EU still matter, says Guardian columnist Rafael Behr

Oof

We've all had tricky gigs, especially in a high profile venue that's new to us, but this woman looks like she's never read anything out loud before, let alone from a stage
😬 Katie Zacharia's first press briefing was brutally bad 😬

Trump managed to find a press secretary who can barely read, but she does have the number one qualification -- looking like Ivanka

Here's a supercut from Zacharia's first briefing, which made Karoline Leavitt seem like Ronald Reagan

Digger reminded me a little bit of Nanette. A comedy that dares to be deliberately unfunny at moments in order to make a statement about power and the limitations of satire. Laughter can weaken or strengthen its target depending on the context.

Very glad I caught Digger on the big screen - every frame is exquisitely shot and there are key little details throughout. It’s a hard film to describe which may be why it hasn’t worked at the box office but I’d recommend it - it’s dark, satirical, challenging, intriguing and mordantly funny.

Does anyone apart from charity shops use the word 'pre-loved'?

I’m always surprised to find that my hatred of Trump can rise to new levels.
“Zelenskyy could’ve stopped this war many times, and he chose not to … he better damn well stop” — Trump is no longer trying to conceal that he’s fully on Putin’s side

This quote from Jonathan Reynolds just makes me think: but what if British industry is never as good or fast at making EVs as China is? Is climate change actually a problem or not? How do you balance jobs in manufacturing against heatwaves and flooding?

Last night I saw a man outside Clapham Junction station shouting obscenities at everyone who walked past. At one point he got up, went over to a cafe, opened the door and just screamed for a bit before walking off. It was like he was the personification of X.

Today appears to herald Trump’s version of the Molotov Ribbentrop pact: a grubby political alliance that should cause even his most ardent supporters to pause (but won’t) and which won’t solve any of the problems he has but will definitely lead to more human suffering.

As cricketers, players like Ian Botham gave me many hours of uncomplicated joy. As ex-cricketers, less so.

Tip: don't read his interview in The Times today unless you want that childhood joy to be diminished even further...

November 4th @ Pleasance Islington
This is a million years away (November 4th) but my dream is to sell it out. It's turning out to be a really fun show and I'd love a killer audience PS November 4th is not a million years away it's in a two-and-a-half-months wtf how did THAT happen?!
