I am disgusted with this continuous drum beat of “I can’t take charity” or “charity is not dignified”.

Most of my life, I’ve been afraid of dying alone. I’m starting to realize that I’m going to die alone and my fear of it is just making me miserable while I’m still alive. fixating on this is starting to hurt me in a way I’ve never really been hurt before. I have to stop fixating. I don’t know how.

Because I don’t have the money to pay YouTube not to show them to me, I keep seeing commercials for strange AI written werewolf stories. And I’m learning so much of how why we’re all going to die in an apocalypse of poorly maintained infrastructure

I am not a fan of James Gunn’s version of the DCU and I didn’t like what I’ve seen of what he’s done so far but that doesn’t mean I wish it on the people who do like his work or the people working in those films

I keep thinking about how with what we’re calling AI, we are essentially making thinking the thing that dies instead of like buggy whips or cotton gins. We are trying to allow machines to do the thinking for us and the worst part is they can’t even actually think.

Every so often it occurs to me how many animals existed that we don’t know about because they didn’t fossilize. We don’t know the direct line of descent for a great many animals that we know of.
