1st Chapter was phenomenal! The 2nd Chapter can only build on that!
I'm sure to no one's surprise, I absolutely adore Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter. It builds on the foundation of 1st Chapter and stays one of the best games in the series. It is so, so special.
Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter is an excellent conclusion to Estelle and Joshua’s story, with brilliant character writing, a great story, and combat that feels and plays even better than ever.

This is straight up. Estelle is one of the best protags ever.
And I also mean this genuinely - even after 20 years, Estelle Bright is one of the best-written RPG protagonists out there. So much smart detail to her character and story. Just an impeccable job by Falcom to this day

New from me: I've been heavily focused on Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave over the last month and it's quickly become one of the best things I've played this year.
I've had a lot of instances where I just didn't want to stop playing whether when training my party or exploring a dungeon.

Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave is an ambitious entry in the series, and it delivers a memorable, hard-to-put-down experience. Between the expansive Flame Lord campaigns, which feed into the Pale Raven campaign, there is a lot of story content to parse through, and it culminates marvellously.
