The Mexican Navy's ship Cuauhtémoc is in town on a goodwill visit. The line to board stretched from Pier 17 to Pier 1, so I didn't bother trying to get on it. But I was happy to see so much goodwill being returned.

Today the San Francisco Historical Society offered a self-guided tour of the Financial District with docents stationed at 14 locations. I was already familiar with a lot of it, but it gave me access to places not normally open to the public, like this room at the Merchants Exchange Building.

A tip for my San Francisco friends wanting to see the installation of giant lasers shooting into the sky in Civic Center: they're great from various angles, but be sure to also stand directly under them.

Every June, the city puts a giant pink triangle atop Twin Peaks (because... gay! [insert sparkle noises]). Every year I intend to hike there to see it up close, and today I finally did. Happy Pride!
