Playing Ocarina of Time for the first time as a kid was a very formative experience. One of the first times I felt like I had an "all-time favorite game". I was obsessed for months.

I knew they would remake it someday, and that it might be a hard pill to swallow, but ultimately I am happy.

MIO
An illustration of Mio from Xenoblade Chronicles 3. The art is somewhat messily painted and brightly coloured. It's a thigh-up shot, and Mio is holding her flute up to her mouth. In the background, M is painted in lineart looking wistfully off to the left.

Two small chihuahua-mix dogs lying on a bed with a floral pattern. The leftmost dog has tan-colored fur, is wearing a medical shirt, and is lying on his side. The rightmost dog has beige-colored fur, and is lying up while looking at the camera, which is situated at an angle. To the left of the dogs is a blue pillow, and behind them a dark navy pillow, and a blue wall with a beige windowsill.

nobody is forcing you to buy a video game ever, but a "boycott" works in instances like BDS where you're applying mass pressure over long periods in concert with other tactics. what the union needs right now is money to fight a corporation that robbed them of their livelihoods.

A lot of "well I'm boycotting it anyway" quotes sort of missing the point that a boycott is a specific tool you deploy with a purpose. I think it's the right move to sidestep trying to make a public dent in what *will* be an immensely high-selling game in favour of directly asking for legal support.
