Hi there, I’m Jana. I loved the very old days of twitter but in recent years have backed into a hedge like Homer Simpson. This site feels like how it used to be. I do voice work, I make music, and currently I’m doing postgrad research at Birkbeck on memory and the landscape of East Anglia. 👋

Thetford’s unrest did not appear from nowhere.

A town shaped by poverty, isolation and a decade-long life-expectancy gap.

And then - national headlines.

Peter Thurlow reports.
Medieval mumbo-jumbo and simple hate lie behind the Thetford riots
A town that should be quiet has erupted and hit the national headlines – again. What’s behind it all?

What’s that, Dale? You want to give me an unconditional personal gift of £5million to do whatever I want with? Sure! I just need to fill out a form. If I didn’t declare it that would be silly.

Posted this before but I love it. Mel Brooks’s story about ghosting Cary Grant must have been told by Mel on every other talk show appearance he made, it was one of his standard “bits” but I especially like this version with Clive James. youtu.be/9QbATFlTaZs?...

I very happily stand corrected!! Please check out Lovecraft Investigations on BBC Sounds if you love audio horror, it's an excellent show with fantastic acting and sound design - I loved series 1 and am swiftly moving through series 2 hehe.
Hi, sorry to butt in, but are you talking about the image on Sounds? If so, those predate genAI and while the bbc (not the show team) put the images together for the feed, they’re cobbled together from actual photographs. No genAI used in the LI at all. 👍
