A wonderful pathologist got me a signed copy of this cartoon for my residency graduation years ago. Even more relevant in the AI era.

Many health-care workers are being encouraged to run wild with the latest AI software—even tools that have yet to be approved by the FDA, Benjamin Mazer writes. This enthusiasm feels unprecedented, he argues, and could lead to consequential mistakes:
AI Is Taking Over Hospitals
This is health care’s Uber moment.

To take the analogy further, just like taxi drivers (doctors) and roads (health systems) had little say in the rollout, medical AI will have tiers of service where the customer will have vastly different safety

Our current healthcare leadership would love it if you stopped talking about measles and instead talked about current events like the Covid lockdowns.

"Reforming an institution requires the ability to enact lasting change. Ultimately it doesn’t matter whether Makary or Prasad held the “right” views about medical evidence. Did they create positive changes that will outlast them? Seemingly not many."

Current evidence does not support causal associations between aluminium adjuvanted vaccines and serious or long term health outcomes.

Once the peptide obsession passes, I humbly propose that the next diet fad should be carbohydrates.

Robert Kennedy Jr: People "have been misled by the pharmaceutical industry and its captured government agency allies into believing measles is a deadly disease."

Act III of the EBM contrarian hero arc is rarely pretty.

Fauci issued plenty of incorrect statements during the pandemic (along with many correct ones). His fans were ridiculed as having a religious devotion.

Today, Fauci is more trusted than our current healthcare leaders, RFK Jr and Dr. Oz.

They should be calling him up for advice.

The medical contrarians now in power seem a bit surprised that not everyone is giving them the benefit of the doubt or always interpreting their actions in the best possible light.

I do wonder if it has occurred to them that they once did the same thing to public officials.

Dear ACIP,

No, I will not be accepting sketchy or experimental vax injury diagnostic tests as "clinically legitimate."

I don't know why everyone keeps insisting that MAHA is anti-vax. The MAHA Institute simply wants you to know that America’s health crisis is driven by a massive epidemic of vaccine injury.

The guy who spent years writing articles like this is very confused about why you keep bringing up measles and vaccines.

I remember the good old days of 2017 when future FDA vaccines czar Vinay Prasad and I could be quoted in the same story criticizing anti-vaxxers. Instead of going to work for one.

The current administration has been relentless in suggesting that their main goal with everything they’re doing is to improve trust in public health.

We should judge them by that goal.

Trust yourself, not your doctor.

Every individual needs to talk to their doctor before putting a medication into their body.

Which is it? MAHA is talking out of both sides of its mouth when it comes to vaccines.

The Trump Administration Is Trying to Have Its Vaccine Policy Both Ways
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and his subordinates want Americans to have more conversations with their physicians. But they also can’t seem to stop disparaging the medical establishment.
