We told Ravi if he ever beat us in Mario Kart we would reward him with ice cream. We’ve had the Switch 2 for a year and he finally beat us. He said “I beat you! Can we get ice cream in the morning?” 😂

As a mother of boys the Cornell story (& unfortunately similar stories) breaks my heart. I teach Ravi about consent, asking to give your friends hugs or appropriately touching them. I also teach Ravi that if your friend or anyone asks you to stop touching them you, you stop.

Nine years ago we went on our first date. It’s been a crazy 9 years, adopted a dog, lived in 3 states, owned two homes, one of us got their doctorate, & more importantly had two wonderful, sometimes chaotic boys.

Poor little Arjun has a double ear infection. It’s the third ear infection since July. Looks like I’ll have to call the doctor on Monday for an ENT referral. Poor little guy just can’t win.

Keep our little Arjun in your thoughts please. We had his 15 month check up & he’s being referred to specialists since he’s not where he should be developmentally. And a specialist for some physical health concerns. Hoping for the best for my warrior. I’m a worried mama until his appointments.

Happy 8th gotcha day to our velociraptor, Cassie. She’s so patient with the boys but also tries to take their food. Can’t believe we had for 8 years. We also say it’s her birthday cause she was 1 when we got her, so happy 9th birthday! We love you baby girl!

Arjun wanted some light reading tonight. He picked this book out of our many books and dragged it to our bedroom. This book is from my African politics class I took in college. I really enjoyed it, the book and the class.

Had a family walk with another family so the kids could play but still needed to go on my run. I decided to take Cassie. She did pretty good and only barked once at a small dog she saw across the street.
