My players got their stronghold! They are now proud owners of Mistfall Castle, complete with construction rights and permission to build a village. The king will pay the wages of workers until restoration is complete, then it's all on the party.

Also, I’m very much excited for next session. My players are finally going to get their own stronghold. Too bad it’s a little dilapidated and needs some fixing up…it’s probably a good thing they got so much gold during the Velkal arc. 😉

While I have two follow-up campaigns planned once this current story ends, I’m now getting outlines of more games and settings, including a Game of Thrones-like vampire setting. 🫠

My players went through the end-of-arc boss fight last night, and it was 5 hours long. It was my first time running something like that and I'm damn proud of myself. Party got to beat up a bunch of bad guys, defeated the villain of this story beat, and to top it off they get a bunch of loot--

I love being a DM. Tonight's session went completely against what I had planned so 90% of it ended up being completely improvised, with the party's newest recruit fighting an underground bloodsport match against Iron Mike Tyson, the city's treasurer exposed for fraud, and ended off with a level up.

Said my goodbyes to my PS4, 3DS and all the games for ‘em. I’m sad to give them up, but they were just sitting around collecting dust. At least now hopefully someone will have fun with them like I did.

One of my players had their character go through an epiphany last night and wondered why the party just kills every Deep Cultist they come across last night. I had to make an entire backstory on the spot for a random cultist who is being sent off for redemption and rehabilitation. 😆
