PRIMETIME is the best movie I’ve seen this year. It’s beautifully shot with high contrast, colorful, grainy composition and principal performances from Robert Pattinson, Merrit Wever, and Skyler Gizmodo that are intense, nuanced, and theatrical.

If you’re an artist who tries to avoid/deter conflict by “not taking a side,” that doesn’t work forever. At some point, not choosing or avoiding being on the record is indistinguishable from taking a side or capitulation.
It sucks, but “I don’t take sides” doesn’t always accomplish what you hope.

I think people think writing a song is a lot harder than it is, which is why some people are so impressed by the shortcut of Suno. I’m not saying there isn’t craft, work, practice and talent that goes into songwriting but, like… the world will never have enough 3-chord songs about love. Write yours!

Like uhhh Richard Dawkins. Richard Dawkins is not going through actual psychosis because he tried to make Claude his girlfriend, so calling it that pejoratively seems like it is just invoking "mentally ill" to mean "bad". Which seems, y'know, like a poor way to talk about mental illness

I don’t like Suno and AI-generated tracks (and think it’s bad across the board), but I think we’re going to see people unknowingly learning and covering AI-generated songs at filk circles and SCA events eventually if it’s not happening already.
