in my opinion, games need a certain amount of friction, even if it makes the game a slightly less comfortable experience. just look at majora's mask, which is somewhat rough around the edges and has mechanics that push back against the player, which leads to a really cool atmosphere and gameplay
Yeah this sounds so rough oh my goodness. I think we are on peoples last straw when it comes to tolerating AAA “safeness” in game design.
