GOTV! South Central has some of the lowest voter turnouts in the city and we need everyone to show up and show out. As a matter of fact, if we hit 25% voter turnout during this primary, I’ll shave my head.

And I challenge my fellow electeds to do the same! Let’s go @isaacgbryan.bsky.social!

Today we moved the needle and moved the battle across the street to end pretextual traffic stops in the City of Los Angeles.

Today is not about one person.

It is about uplifting a labor movement while honoring the contributions and sacrifices of the people who ensure our world gets fed.

I also highlight the women of the movement whose work was invisible for far too long.

So, thank you and happy #FarmworkersDay! 🌾✊🏿

Believe survivors. Believe women.

I stand with Dolores Huerta, Ana Murguia, Debra Rojas, and everyone who has courageously shared their stories. Honoring survivors means we must demand accountability from abusive men in power and build communities that are just in both mission, and practice.

We aren’t just reclaiming our signature industry—we are reinvesting in the soul of our city and the hardworking Angelenos who make it the creative heartbeat of the world.

We've got to lift up the stories when neighbors stand with each other, for each other, and go out of their way to make sure that we all live the quality of life that we deserve.

Too young to vote when he ran in the CA Dem Presidential Primary, I walked precincts instead.

When Rev. visited LA, my mom got me backstage at a CTA rally to meet Rev. Jesse Jackson in person. In five minutes, that exchange rewired my life.

Protecting Angelenos will always be the City’s biggest priority.

Huge shoutout to Mayor Bass and Councilmembers Soto-Martinez, Hernandez, and Jurado for signing this executive directive and further restricting ICE actions in the City.

The only thing more powerful than hate is love.

An incredible message to match an incredible performance.

Huge shoutout to all our South LA bands that made last night’s show extra special! Many of whom have performed at multiple events in CD8, from Caribbean Heritage to DDLM!

Yesterday, thousands of LAUSD students held a walkout at City Hall to protest the federal government's immigration raids.

Their message was clear—ICE out of our schools, ICE out of our city, ICE out of everywhere.

In a time when the federal government is actively removing Black monuments and inflicting state-sponsored terror on everyone in our community, we must remember to resist, not give an inch, and fight back.

Los Angeles was built by Native communities and Mexican Pobladores, by Asian and Black families seeking freedom, by immigrants from every corner of the world who arrived with little more than faith and left an indelible mark.

As Angelenos join today’s nationwide shutdown to resist unconstitutional ICE actions around our country, everyone stay safe, resolute, and proud.
