First rehearsal back at choir last night was pleasant and manageable. Still some very difficult and complicated emotions tied up with it, and my voice still isn’t the same after [ward incident] but it’s in better nick than expected.

Also our next concert is entirely spooky Halloween tunes/vibes

Maybe sleep meds will matter less than I thought for maintaining a more normalised circadian rhythm. I’ve never been good at getting out of bed but now if I wake up a couple of hours before my alarms I just have to remember Pokopia and I’m springing to my feet like Grandpa Joe.

When a medication works for me without side effects, it’s addictive and CMHT won’t prescribe it even if it keeps me out of crisis.

When a medication only does half-measures of what it’s supposed to and causes side effects/withdrawal symptoms, CMHT knows best and I must keep taking it.

Bright haired folks who dye at home, what brands do you recommend? I’ve been loyal to Directions since my teens but am tempted to try others especially if they’re have longevity (but I know brights are always gonna fade fast)

Much like at the hospital, I am bedevilled by parakeets first thing in the morning.

Unlike at the hospital, I can go outside to finish reading a novel with a coffee in the sun. No alarms, no screaming, just birds and the occasional giggle from next door’s toddler.

Brain just reminded me that one of the first things I did this year was accidentally break a mirror. That’s gonna stick with me for a while actually. Oof.

Oh my god double bed, fitted sheets, natural fibres, multiple pillows.

That first night back in your own bed feeling makes the two months of brain jail hell almost worth it.

Emergency alert for London: I have RETURNED to my HOME and my freedom has been RESTORED. Stay vigilant. I can be a sneaky one.

The place I wanted to go for lunch today was closed so I went to my fallback option, which is a pub. One of the ward clinical psychologists was there and even though I had broken no rules or conditions of going off-ward, I have never ordered a soft drink so loudly in my life.

(CW: weight) it is complicated-feelings-o’clock about accidentally losing the most weight I have lost as an adult. Being seen a little more favourably by society is not worth the life-threatening illness relapse

Glad to have a lot of people around me who know better than to praise this development

In hindsight I probably shouldn’t have blurted out “oh wow, Avengers Doomsday” earlier today when I walked in to a room and laptop screen full of mental health professionals there to decide if I’m going home this week.

Going home Thursday innit

They moved my ward round from Thursday to this afternoon so now im frantically trying to recall the dialogue tree options that persuaded them to let me out last time.

If you’ve got a guidance cantrip going spare, this party member could really do with rolling high on CHA today.

Someone pointed out that a crystal shop is basically a warhammer store for women and I can’t stop thinking about it

Shared a scotch egg with two magpies. Was trying to stick to the corvids but a one-legged pigeon hopped over to me and looked so sad, so pleading, so many emotions I probably just anthropomorphically projected onto her.

TL;DR she also got snacks

I now have a cold for the first time in yonks on top of being in the nuthouse so I sense an escalation in whiny little baby posting is on the cards

I think the excitement and novelty of a few days of improvement may be wearing off and I’m one again aware of the long road ahead.

I think perhaps part of the reason my mental health got so bad this year is that I completely forgot about the existence of Yee youtu.be/q6EoRBvdVPQ

New care coordinator just called. Introductions, mostly. Then dropped the info that she’s going on leave a few days after I’m discharged.

Just like the last one, and the one who was supposed to take over from him.

The strength it took not to chuck my phone at the wall, jfc.
