The numbers don’t lie: The DNC is winning where it matters most
The media is evaluating party strength through the same lens used to evaluate campaigns: money raised, money spent, and quarterly comparisons. But parties are not campaigns.

as a jew who cares a lot about these issues, the fact that the worlds richest and perhaps most powerful man routinely spouts nazi propaganda is very bad and the main story here. But I'd note there's a bit of a gender story in this "poll" as well.
Republicans' largest donor (by far) is hosting a robust debate on his platform about whether Jews are white. Corporate Media will ask precisely 0 Republicans about their largest donor's all-consuming misogyny, xenophobia, antisemitism, he will instead by referred to as a visionary industrialist.

This is a problem? 🤔
Fox News complains that underage teenage girls aren’t getting pregnant enough:

“The problem is teens and young adults. From ages 15-19, the fertility rate is down 70% in the last 2 decades, which means we are telling people who are young not to have babies.”

At the most recent meeting, the DNC a) rejected a ban on ranked-choice voting, and b) passed a resolution to abolish ICE, all in a transparent process decided by the elected membership. That's a party functioning as a party should (by @davidoatkins.bsky.social)

Ken Martin is raising gobs of money and spending it in ways that DC consultants don't like but that actually help win at all levels of government. The results have been profound in terms of both downballot wins, party infrastructure, and candidate recruitment.

As the Democratic Party debates how to win in the era of Trump, Martin tells Newsweek the answers lie outside the beltway.

There are going to be Democrats who say we shouldn’t rip it all out — it’s already built, we have other priorities — but removing the visible signs of Trumpism is absolutely necessary.
The vandalism and desecration of the White House isn't just vanity and it's not trivial. It's caesarism, as in literally what Julius Caesar did to the symbolic architecture of civic republicanism. Our national iconography matters and allowing the disfiguring of it to persist is a substantive harm.

Building off of last week's successful DNC meeting, @democrats.org Chair @kenmartin.bsky.social just announced the following cities are finalists to host the 2028 Democratic National Convention:

Reminder that a reason the DNC is burning through $$ is its spending on stuff we like!
DNC also helped make sure @padems.org could staff our statewide voter protection team since the start of the year, being able to rehire key talent from 2024, and allowing us to be fully staffed on the ground in Butler this week.

The DNC met in Austin this past week, and three things happened that are worth your time.

The ranked choice voting ban is dead. "Abolish ICE" is now our official position. And we confirmed a six-state early window that includes Nevada & New Mexico – the most diverse early calendar in party history.
DNC Re-Kapp: Summer Meeting 2026
Inside the fight to kill the RCV ban, the vote that made "abolish ICE" official, and how New Mexico got into the early window.

I mean, if you want to go back to losing that's your business, but under Ken Martin we are kicking ass, raising record money, investing in state parties, and abolishing ICE. I know you and Rahm Emanuel are scared but you can step out of the panic room now. Get in loser we're going winning elections

Yes, record fundraising, record investments in state parties, rejecting insider RCV bans, crucial reforms to the primary calendar, calling for the abolition of ICE, but somehow Ken Martin is the problem instead of the actual truth, which is that he has been the solution.
Yet Ken Martin is still the head of DNC, dragging the party down.
Here are things that happened at the DNC today:

1) Resolution calling to abolish ICE unanimously adopted
2) Brand-new early state calendar that reflects the full diversity of the Democratic base
3) Rejection of insider efforts to ban RCV from being used in presidential primaries

Great results here

Before a single state applied, the DNC agreed on three tests: is it rigorous, is it fair, is it efficient? I believed that the whole early window should look like our Party, not a piece of it.

I'm proud to have made some small impact on this historic and diverse calendar.

Now let's go win.

🖐️☝️
IT’S OFFICIAL: The DNC has voted to confirm the early window states for the 2028 Democratic presidential nominating process.

These states reflect the diversity of America and will help ensure our nominee is best positioned to take back the White House in 2028.

BREAKING: the Democratic National Committee just unanimously approved a resolution calling for the abolition of ICE!

After terrorizing our friends, families, and neighbors, ICE has no place in our nation. I'm grateful @democrats.org agreed. Now we're onto the hard work to make that happen!

BREAKING (and I use this tag with purpose and intention): The DNC has rejected efforts to ban Ranked Choice Voting from being used in presidential primaries. A huge win for DC, Maine, Alaska and other states who love our RCV systems and want the full voices of our voters to matter in 2028. Big W!

The DNC's General Session has begun. We will:

✅ pass the strongest & most diverse *six* state early calendar
✅ revise the proposed delegate selection rules to remove the RCV ban
✅ ensure the passage of the "abolish ICE" resolution.

They can lie and say it's about the fundraising. It's an obvious lie, since Martin's fundraising has been record-breaking. They can say it's about the debt, but it's not, because they were the ones who gave us the debt. It's simply, as it has always been, about whether the money goes to them or not.

Via @ajcarrillo.bsky.social (someone you should follow, FYI): All the attacks on Ken Martin are retreads of the same anger that Clinton consultants had over Dean investing in state parties and organizing 20 years ago, and the consultant class will not be happy until Martin hands the reins back.

If Ken Martin hadn't started spending money in places where it went to hire organizers and hoarded it instead to spend on TV ads that made money for DC consultants, you'd be hearing DC media sing his high praises for his record-setting fundraising. But it's not about the $ coming in. It's going out
